Faculty Assembly

The Faculty Assembly is a representative body of the faculty within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

The Faculty Assembly meets almost every month during the academic year to deliberate and act on major policy questions, often referred to it by the College Executive Committee or by the Educational Policy Committee.

The Assembly also functions as an forum for discussion on issues of importance to the faculty and to the College or University.

Agenda Committee

The Faculty Assembly officers serve on the Agenda Committee, setting the monthly agenda for the Assembly. The Chair of the Assembly also serves as Chair of the Agenda Committee, with the secretary of the Executive Committee and the secretary of the Educational Policy Committee also serving. Any voting faculty member from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences may forward agenda suggestions to the committee.

The Faculty Assembly will meet in the University Capitol Centre Seminar Room, 2520D (second floor of the Old Capitol Mall) on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Provost Loh will attend and all faculty members are invited.
  • Wednesday, October 22, 2008
  • Wednesday, November 19, 2008
  • Wednesday, January 28, 2009 (if needed)
  • Wednesday, February 25, 2009
  • Wednesday, March 25, 2009
  • Wednesday, April 29, 2009

All meetings begin at 3:30 p.m. and end at 5:00 p.m.
