Dean's Emeritus Advisory Committee

About DEAC

The Dean's Emeritus Advisory Committee (DEAC) was formed to provide the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, and the Associate Deans, with direct advice and information in many areas. The collective wisdom and historical memory of the committee members makes them an invaluable source for the Dean and the College Administration.

The first members of the committee came from a variety of disciplines, and included one former Dean of the College (Dewey Stuit) and a historian who has written a history of the University (Stow Persons). The members of this committee represent many years of service to the College, as teachers and, often, as departmental and college administrators. We are indeed fortunate that they have decided to continue to help the College.
