| I am delighted to announce the recipients of this year’s CLAS Teaching Awards. The seven recipients were nominated by their students and colleagues for their excellence as teachers and mentors and for their contributions to the curriculum. The recipients of the CLAS Collegiate Teaching Award are
Linda Bolton, associate professor of English
Cornelia Lang, assistant professor of Physics and Astronomy
Margaret Mills, professor of Russian
Barbara Mooney, associate professor in Art and Art History
Norbert Pienta, associate professor of Chemistry
David Redlawsk, associate professor of Political Science
This year, thanks to the generosity of an alumna, the College also inaugurated the Helen Kechriotis Nelson Teaching Award. Chunghi Choo, School of Art and Art History, is the F. Wendell Miller Professor and a major artist whose jewelry, sculptures, and other works are in the permanent collections of highly prestigious museums around the world, is the recipient of this award.
The College takes great pride in the achievements of these faculty members, and offers its thanks to those who contributed nominations to this year’s selection process. |
