As we enter the third week of the semester, I would like to remind you of the College’s resource for faculty and academic advising, for good advising is an on-going process
The Office of Academic Programs and Services has developed a faculty advising resource page http://www.clas.uiowa.edu/faculty/teaching/advising.shtml with answers and links to many of the questions faculty members pose throughout the academic year. In addition to information related to academic advising, we have included links related to topics such as grading, adding or dropping courses, and graduation. Please encourage all faculty to use this website as a very specific resource, even those who are not actively engaged in undergraduate advising.
The staff in Academic Programs and Services are still available to meet with faculty members in each CLAS department or program who advise students. Individual or group meetings can be arranged by contacting Assistant Director Curt Graff at curt-graff@uiowa.edu or 335-2633.
