The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will hold its Annual Faculty Meeting on Monday, September 10, at 3:30 PM in the R. Wayne Richey Ballroom (Room 376) of the Iowa Memorial Union. I very much hope you will be there to help me welcome our new tenure-track faculty and to celebrate faculty who were promoted and/or tenured last spring. The meeting will be followed by a reception featuring a display of the books that have been added to the University Library collections in honor of each newly promoted faculty member.

Sally Mason will join us on this occasion to greet the CLAS faculty for the first time in her role as President of the University. Please join us—even for a short while between 3:30–5:00 PM—to welcome President Mason and your other new colleagues and to congratulate those being honored for their academic accomplishments.
