The purpose of the Perry A. and Helen Judy Bond Fund is to promote interactions among Iowa faculty and students in areas of cross-departmental strength, and to support interdisciplinary events that draw scholars from other institutions to the UI campus, both as presenters and as audience.

CLAS faculty may apply for funds to support any event or program that is consistent with the Bond Fund's purposes. Events may include conferences, performances, lecture series, symposia, workshops, or any combination thereof. Though CLAS faculty must be among the participants (as organizers, presenters, panelists, responders, or performers), the participation of other UI faculty is welcome and encouraged. Recent awards have ranged from $200.00 to $5,000.00, some are described here. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis, but I encourage you to apply for funds at least one semester before the event.
