Staff Recognition Awards
Improving Our Workplace Awards (IOWA)
The IOWA awards, administered through UI WorkLife in the Office of Human Resources, are made twice a year to individual staff members or teams who have distinguished themselves through their performance or who have implemented a cost-saving or efficiency-producing idea.

University Staff Excellence Awards
University Staff Excellence Awards, administered by Staff Council, are made annually to staff members who show outstanding performance in their jobs and contribute to the mission and goals of the University in an exceptional way.
All permanent staff members with 50% or greater appointments are eligible. Staff Council solicits nominations each February.
Board of Regents Staff Excellence Awards
Board of Regents Staff Excellence Awards, administered by UI Staff Council, are made annually to staff members who show outstanding performance in their jobs and contribute to the mission and goals of the University in an exceptional way. Nominees must have made a demonstrated impact beyond the university at the state level. A $1,000 cash award is made to each winner.
Non-bargaining P&S and Merit supervisory exempt/confidential employees are eligible. Staff Council solicits nominations each February.
Mary Louise Kelley Staff Excellence Award
The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences recognizes staff for outstanding accomplishments and contributions to the College and the University. Winners are recognized at the College’s annual Staff Recognition Reception, where they are presented with a gift. Mary Louise Kelley Professional Development Award
