You and your faculty are cordially invited to attend the CLAS DEO meeting on Monday, May 3, at 3:30 in the Illinois Room (348) IMU.

I will deliver a brief State of the College address, and invite questions and comments from you and your faculty concerning the current and future state of the College.

Immediately following the question period, you and your faculty are also invited to a reception on the Sun Porch at the IMU in honor of Associate Dean Frederick Antczak.

Fred will leave Iowa on June 30 to become the founding Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Grand Valley State University, Michigan. Fred has created a rich legacy at Iowa as scholar, teacher, and administrator. Please join me in thanking him and wishing him the very best in his exciting new job!

This reception is also an opportunity to thank and honor all our DEOs for their commitment, energy, and ceaseless activity on behalf of their departments and the College.
