Description
These days, if it's not on the web, almost nobody sees it. So now more than ever university faculty need to know how to use the web as a means of presentation, dissemination and discussion. This workshop is designed to get faculty members on the web quickly by teaching them to design, make and edit:
personal websites
project websites and wikis
class websites and wikis
static web graphics
animated web graphics
audio clips and podcasts
video clips and videocasts
web galleries of graphics and videos
individual blogs
community blogs
discussion blogs
All the training takes place in the Information Arcade's computer lab. It is hands-on and project based. As the end of the workshop participants will not only know how to work on the web, they will have done so.
Experience Level
Complete novice to advanced – participants will work on individual projects at their own pace.
