Agenda

1. Discussion/amendment/approval of the minutes of the October 4 meeting of the Faculty Assembly.

2. Appointment of members to the Diversity Committee.

3. Continued Discussion of the Task Force Report on University Ties for Faculty Governance

4. Continued Discussion of the Ad Hoc Committee Report on "Unfitness." The current language on unfitness can be found in the University Operations Manual, see, http://www.uiowa.edu/~our/opmanual/iii/29b.htm#298
The Faculty Senate's first discussion took place on September 5, 2000. See, http://www.uiowa.edu/~facsen/minutes.html
We expect some member of Faculty Senate to attend the meeting.
Members should be aware that the previous draft document distributed with last month's agenda is being revised; no current draft document is available.

5. Discussion of a draft document from the Executive Committee on Collegiate Standards for Tenured Faculty Performance.

6. Brief Report from Vice-Chair Vicki Hesli, a member of the University committee on interdisciplinarity.

7. New Business, from the floor.

8. (4:55) Adjournment.

The Faculty Assembly will also meet on December 6.
Expected Agenda items include:
A proposal from the Department of Women's Studies
for a new BA
and
discussion of Faculty Assembly membership
and election procedures.
