Agenda of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Faculty Assembly

The Faculty Assembly will meet from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, in 70 Van Allen Hall.

Please sign one of the attendance sheets available at the door.

1. Discussion/amendment/approval of the minutes of the March 2002 meeting of the Faculty Assembly.

2. Proposed revision of the Foreign Language Incentive Program. The Educational Policy Committee submits the attached revision of FLIP (pdf file) for the Assembly's approval. The attachment has been revised for greater clarity since last month's meeting, though the proposal itself has not changed. The previous version is still available and contains more background information.

3. Review and discussion of this year's activities, focusing especially on the role of the Faculty Assembly within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and its interaction with the the College's other governance bodies. Summary (pdf file) attached.

4. Election of officers for 2002-03. The Assembly will elect a chair, vice chair, and secretary to serve next year.
