Agenda of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Faculty Assembly

The Faculty Assembly will meet from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23 in 70 Van Allen Hall.

Please sign one of the attendance sheets available at the door.

1. Discussion/amendment/approval of the minutes of the February 16, 2005 meeting of the Faculty Assembly.

2. Announcements from Chair Sarah Larsen, including an update on activities of the Faculty Assembly revitalization committee.

3. Provost Hogan will speak to the Assembly.

4. Discussion of the attack on the Department of Psychology last fall.

5. Discussion of the tenure system's flexibility, and whether more flexibility would be desireable. See article (pdf) from the Chronicle of Higher Education.

The final meeting of the 2004-05 Faculty Assembly will take place April 20 at 3:30 p.m. in 70 Van Allen Hall.
