Agenda of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Faculty Assembly

The Faculty Assembly will meet from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, in 140 Schaeffer Hall. Please note that the room has been changed.

Please sign one of the attendance sheets available at the door.

1. Approval of the minutes of the September 21 meeting of the Faculty Assembly.

2. Conversation with Provost Michael Hogan on the University Strategic Plan.

3. Brief introduction of issues to be handled by Assembly committees:

• Diversity Committee
• Academic Freedom Committee
• Revitalization Committee
• Strategic Planning Review Committee

4. Open Discussion: CLAS 2005-10 draft strategic plan. The Strategic Planning Review Committee's response is attached, as is a letter from Professor Jeff Cox that was submitted after the committee's response had been drafted.
