General Education Curriculum Committee

The General Education Curriculum Committee is appointed by the Educational Policy Committee (EPC).

The committee works closely with EPC to establish procedures for the approval of courses for the General Education Program; to establish procedures for the review of approved GE courses; and to advise the College on General Education curriculum issues. The College's Manual of Procedure, section 32, describes the General Education Curriculum Committee and its duties in more detail.

Generally, the committee reviews courses already approved for the General Education Program in the fall and considers proposals for courses seeking General Education approval during the spring.

Procedures for review and for proposing a course for the General Education Program are available at the General Education Program site.

Ordinarily, members serve annual terms (from January to December) for three consecutive years with a student member serving for one year. A member of the Educational Policy Committee and of the Academic Advising Center are invited each year to act as non-voting liaisons.
