Communication Sciences & Disorders
Dorothy was nominated for her consistently excellent and efficient performance since joining the department in 1994. Her accounting background helps monitor budgets, she has streamlined the department’s purchasing process, and her personnel file is full of notes of thanks.

Physics & Astronomy
Terry was nominated for his outstanding efforts as an irreplaceable member of the Radio and Plasma Wave Group. Among countless invaluable contributions, he developed new software that greatly improved and accelerated the process by which the group controlled their instrument on the Cassini mission to Saturn.

Margie was nominated for her exceptional commitment to assisting the program’s current and prospective students and alumni. She created a reference notebook for use by academic advisors and forms that make meetings with prospective students and advisees more helpful and efficient.

Diane was nominated for her remarkable initiatives in service of the office’s mission, including the creation of a new database for student record-keeping, advocating for diversity training and training in safety and emergency procedures, and developing additions to the website.

Kathy was nominated for her extraordinary service over a period of thirty years as an integral member of Professor Gurnett’s space research group. Her exceptional talents have seen many successful papers, proposals, meetings, exhibits, and conferences to fruition.

Becca was nominated for redefining going “above and beyond” during the flood and in its aftermath. Her leadership, organization, extra time, and unflappability deserve a tremendous amount of the credit for relocating Theatre to safety, arranging its temporary space, and moving the department back home.
