Brian Morrison – Lab Manager
Erlene Erbe – Director Undergraduate Labs
Amber Seaton – Administrative Assistant, Department of Chemistry
Shonda Monette – Lab Manager
Jeffrey L. Miller – Computer Services Shop
David Sansbury – Computer Services Shop
This team was nominated by Hazel Kerr with support from Professors Mark Arnold and David Weimer. Approximately 20,000 sq ft of renovated instructional space was turned over to Chemistry in late November 2007. These five staff members were collectively responsible for planning and coordinating the move from old instructional labs into this new space between the last week of classes in December and the start of spring semester. Every chemical, piece of glassware, small appliance and piece of specialized instrumentation had to be packed to avoid breakage and moved to a new space. After the move, all instrumentation and computers needed to be tested or calibrated to make sure they were operational by the start of classes. These staff members worked tirelessly to make sure this move was a success, under a lot of pressure, to make the January 22 deadline. |
