Page wins coveted Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra Instrumental Competition

A doctoral student of Dr. Kenneth Tse and an Iowa Performance Fellow, Stephen Page, has recently won the coveted first place at the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra's Instrumental Competition. This competition is normally dominated by pianists and string players from the nation’s top music conservatories such as Curtis Institute of Music and Juilliard School of Music. Stephen’s success is a significant achievement for the saxophone as a classical instrument. Besides a cash prize, a possible solo appearance in the next season with the ECSO is also a part of the award.
