University News Release—May 7 , 2009
--Doors open one hour before starting time.
--No flashes or lights may be used inside the Marriott and the IMU, and no cords or cables may lie on the floor. In other words, please bring your batteries and be prepared to shoot from the shoulder.
--Photographers may shoot from the back of the room. We ask that you be in position before the start of the processional.
--For Carver-Hawkeye Arena ceremonies, you may park in surrounding lots. For more informatin, see http://www.uiowa.edu/~maps/parking/all.gif.
--Doors open at 8 a.m. for the CLAS commencement, and photographers will be allowed on the arena floor until five minutes before graduates begin the processional. (In other words, they must be off the floor no later than 8:55 a.m.)
--Doors open at 2 p.m. for the Graduate College commencement, and photographers will be allowed on the floor until five minutes before a 2:55 p.m. pre-processional. (In other words, they must be off the floor no later than 2:50 p.m.).
--Full arena lighting will be used, so additional lights should not be necessary. Flashes and tripods are permitted. Cords may not lie on the floor in areas of any foot traffic.
--Photos may be taken from the perimeter or from Press Row at any time during the ceremony.
--Clean audio is available through the arena system.
