Dey House Dedication
On Friday, October 20th the Dey House addition, including the Glenn M. Schaeffer Library, will be dedicated in a public ceremony. The addition to the Dey House, maintains the existing building as the public "front door" for the workshop, to create an environment conducive to writing and criticism and to maximize the views of the Iowa River and bluff at the site. Library facilities and teaching spaces have been greatly expanded. The $2.4 million project began in the summer 2004. OPN Architects, Inc. of Cedar Rapids is designed the addition, whose construction was funded through private gifts to the university.
