Interpretation of Literature
The skills students develop in Rhetoric classes are expanded in Interpretation of Literature courses. Working in small classes, students focus on the major genres of literature (short and long fiction, poetry, drama) and increase their abilities to read and analyze a variety of texts.
All students are required to complete an Interpretation of Literature course or to have equivalent transfer credit or credit by examination. Note: Students who major in English may take a course approved in the Humanities area as a substitute for an Interpretation of Literature course.
Courses are for 3 semester hours unless noted otherwise.
