Health and Physical Activity

Courses in this area help students acquire knowledge and skills that are conducive to good health and well-being.

Students may use 3 s.h. of course work approved in this area to partially complete the Distributed General Education component of the General Education Program.

Course List

All sections of courses numbered 28S:006 through 28S:097 are approved for General Education. These courses meet for eight weeks, and are graded satisfactory/fail only. In removing incompletes or using the second grade only option, students must complete or retake the same activity or sport at the same level, regardless of when the course was originally taken. All of these courses are offered for 1 s.h.

169:045 Health for Living, 3 s.h.
Note: Students who took 169:140 Health for Living, which was approved for Social Sciences, may not take 169:045 for credit, unless they are exercising the second-grade-only option.
