Questions and academic concerns taking longer than 10 minutes require a scheduled appointment.

CLAS Academic Programs & Services is the student academic services unit of the Office of the Dean. Educational policy, College rules and practices, graduation requirements, academic standards, student records, and College scholarships, are among the responsibilities of CLAS Academic Programs & Services staff. We provide services to and welcome questions from students, faculty, staff, and others.

Students may come to CLAS Academic Programs & Services to:

  • declare or change majors or certificate programs
  • file for Second Grade Only Options
  • request permission to register late, add, or drop courses late, or withdraw an entire registration after the published deadlines.
  • request exceptions to the rules of requirements of the College by petition to the academic reviewers or the Student Appeals Committee through CLAS Academic Programs & Services.

    Students wishing to make record changes must bring their student photo ID cards with them.

Students, faculty, and staff can get answers to questions about:

CLAS Academic Programs & Services staff members also:

  • conduct interviews with students on academic probation
  • review the records of students on academic probation and take dismissal actions
  • respond to requests for reinstatement after dismissal.
  • CLAS Academic Programs & Services also considers evidence and recommends disciplinary action for student plagiarism, forgery, and other academic misconduct.
