The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences is committed to assisting students in every way possible to be remarkable at The University of Iowa.
One way this is accomplished is with scholarships. The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences currently supports 34 different scholarships that may be awarded to first-year students or through the College's annual scholarship competition.
During the 2008-2009 academic year, 116 students will receive close to $298,000 in scholarship assistance from the College.
First-Year Scholarships
The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences is supporting 22 scholarships in 2008-2009 for first-year students, the majority of which are renewable for up to four years.
Scholarship Competition
The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences also awards up to 101 scholarship recipients each year through scholarship competitions.
For 2008-2009, the College awarded 94 continuing students with scholarships collectively worth $234,000 through the CLAS Scholarship Competition.
Four additional scholarships are also awarded each academic year in separate scholarship competitions.
