CLAS Scholarships

The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences is committed to assisting students in every way possible to be remarkable at The University of Iowa.

One way this is accomplished is with scholarships. The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences currently supports 27 different scholarships that may be awarded to first-year students or through the College's annual scholarship competition.

During the 2007-2008 academic year, 106 students will receive close to $265,000 in scholarship assistance from the College.

First-Year Scholarships

The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences is supporting 60 scholarships in 2007-2008 for first-year students, the majority of which are renewable for up to four years.

Scholarship Competition

The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences also awards up to 45 scholarships each year through scholarship competitions.

For 2007-2008, the College awarded 41 scholarships collectively worth $92,500 through the CLAS Scholarship Competition.

Four additional scholarships are also awarded each academic year in separate scholarship competitions.
