The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences is committed to assisting students in every way possible to be remarkable at The University of Iowa.
One way this is accomplished is with scholarships. The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences currently supports 34 different scholarships that may be awarded to first-year students or to currently enrolled students through the College's annual scholarship competition. Applications will be available November 2, 2009- February 2, 2010. Scholarship awards will be announced in March, 2010.
2009-10 First - Year Student Scholarship Recognition
The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences is supporting 21 scholarships in 2009-2010 for first-year students, the majority of which are renewable for up to four years.
2009-10 Scholarship Recognition for Continuing Students
The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences awards up to 101 scholarship recipients each year through scholarship competitions.
For 2009-2010, the College awarded 64 continuing students with scholarships collectively worth $175,000. Thirty-four students were selected through the annual CLAS Scholarship Competition and through departments in separate scholarship competitions.
