Scholarships

The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences is committed to assisting students in every way possible to be remarkable at The University of Iowa.
One way this is accomplished is with scholarships. The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences currently supports 43 different scholarships that may be awarded to incoming first-year students or to currently enrolled students through the College's annual scholarship competition.
Applications will be available November 1, 2010 - February 2, 2011. Scholarship awards will be announced by March 31, 2011.
To be eligible for a CLAS scholarship, students must be:
- currently enrolled undergraduate students exclusively in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences
- seeking their first baccalaureate degree
- continuing exclusively in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences as undergraduate students in 2011-2012.
As a result of the generosity of all our scholarship donors, the College is able to provide nearly $252,000 in scholarship assistance to 101 students in 2010-2011.
Twenty-eight of these scholarships are open to students pursuing any major in the liberal arts and sciences and fifteen are for select liberal arts and sciences majors.
