Scholarships

The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences is committed to assisting students in every way possible to be remarkable at The University of Iowa.
One way this is accomplished is with scholarships. The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences currently supports 34 different scholarships that may be awarded to first-year students or to currently enrolled students through the College's annual scholarship competition.
Applications will be available November 2, 2009 - February 2, 2010. Scholarship awards will be announced in March, 2010.
To be eligible for a CLAS scholarship, students must be:
- currently enrolled undergraduate students in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences
- seeking their first baccalaureate degree
- continuing in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences as undergraduate students in 2009-2010
The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences may award up to 43 scholarships collectively worth over $112,000 to students continuing in the College during the 2009-2010 academic year. Twenty-eight of these scholarships are open to all liberal arts and sciences students and fifteen are for select liberal arts and sciences majors.
