September 13, 2010 - The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Information Technology Group is pleased to announce that Lance Bolton has accepted an interim appointment as the IT Director for the college.  Lance has over 14 years of IT management experience and has spent the last 6 years as the Manager of Application Support for Information Technology Services.  In his new role, Lance will provide continuity of leadership for the CLAS IT staff and work with the Dean's office to continue to deliver the IT mission for the college. 

 

September 10, 2010 - The staff of the CLAS IT Group would like to recognize Aletia Morgan as she leaves The University of Iowa to pursue a new adventure on the East Coast at Rutgers University. At Rutgers, she will be working with the Vice President for Research in the areas of research application design and policy. Throughout nearly eleven years at Iowa, she has had the opportunity to support the development of an amazing group that has grown and developed new tools and services to improve the utilization of technology resources by CLAS faculty, staff, and students.

 

August 1, 2010 - We are pleased to announce that Cole Metcalf has joined the CLAS Information Technology Group as a Computer Consultant. Cole spent three years with the group as a Student Technician, and we are excited to welcome him as he moves to this new role in the college. Cole will be housed in Phillips Hall, and will be supporting the departments and programs in that building.

 

May 1, 2010 - The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Information Technology Group is pleased to announce that Jenifer Steil has accepted an interim appointment as the Desktop Support Manager for the college. In this new role, she will lead and support all CLAS IT desktop support services.
